Web Designer / Developer
Escapia, Inc. is building game-changing software and services for the last frontier of technology and growth in the travel industry - vacation rentals. We are currently recruiting for a talented Web Designer / Developer to work with various teams to grow our newly launched consumer site www.clearstay.com, our #1 web based vacation rental enterprise software, and our corporate site. This position reports to the CTO.
Responsibilities:
- Design consumer web pages with strong emphasis on usability for cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility.
- Design and update corporate web site using xhtml and CSS.
- Design and implement consumer email campaigns.
- Design marketing collateral such as print material, business cards, and special promotions.
- Create enterprise and consumer newsletters.
- Collaborate with product development, marketing, sales, and support team to plan, analyze, organize, and execute assigned projects.
Skill Requirements:
- 4+ years experience designing for the web. eCommerce background preferred.
- Strong HTML and CSS coding skills. Xhtml and Flash a plus.
- Proficient in the following applications: Photoshop, ImageReady, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.
- Skilled in usability and user interface design, for cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience interpreting from a functional spec to design execution.
- Able to work well with various teams, organize and execute tasks effectively.
- Self starter, a strong drive to learn new technologies, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused, changing environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in graphic design preferred.
