Ryan’s Background and Experience

With over 12 years in travel, Ryan is a true industry veteran. From marketing the largest river rafting outfitters in the nation to serving as GM at BedandBreakfast.com, he has a wealth of experience across the industry. Ryan has a passion for deeply understanding customers’ needs and is excited to focus on property management, an area he first explored at VacationRoost.

On a personal note, Ryan is married with two kids and loves food, snowboarding, soccer, and DIY projects. He couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the HomeAway Software family!

HomeAway’s Commitment to Software

As announced at last year’s Rezfest, HomeAway now has an entire organization dedicated to the success of professional property managers. This organization, led by Lisa Chen, is a reflection of HomeAway’s commitment to the property management side of the business. In her words: “We are not deprioritizing this business. Delivering Data

As part of the Expedia Group family, we are uniquely positioned to leverage industry data from millions of travelers and properties. No other company has access to the level of travel information we have in all sectors of this industry. Now we need to work with you to identify the right insights you need to help you run your business, and build tools that make it easy to take action on those insights.

Revenue and Rate Optimization

We know that it all comes down to the bottom line, and we want to provide tools and efficiencies that increase your margins. Setting rates is currently a complex process, and we see a huge opportunity to both make that process more efficient and leverage data for greater optimization based on your unique goals. We think machine learning technology can help get us there.


In all of these efforts, we want to make using your software to run your business as easy as possible. Just because a task is complex doesn’t mean it has to be complex in the system. We’re focused on features that make it easier for you to take action.

Supercharge Distribution and Bookings

With so much traveler and property data at our fingertips, we see a big opportunity to provide guidance in optimizing your listings to help drive more bookings. We are also focused on building a direct connection with Expedia, unlocking distribution to millions of potential new travelers.
