Escapia's New Reservation Grid: See More, Act Faster, Do More

1. See more at a glance — no clicking required

Every booking bar on the grid now communicates more without requiring a single click.

• Booking source on every bar. Vrbo, Airbnb, direct, and other channels are now visible directly on the booking bar — no need to open a reservation to know where it came from. This is a first for Escapia. When a bar shows as red and you can see it's Airbnb right there, your team already knows it's a post-stay payment from the channel. The source and the status together give the full picture at a glance.
• Owner bookings in purple. Before, owner stays looked identical to guest reservations on the grid. That created friction for front desk, housekeeping, and accounting teams who handle them differently. Now the distinction is immediate.
• Payment status and reservation type. Color-coded payment status and letter-coded reservation type remain exactly where your team expects them — familiar signals, now sitting alongside richer context.
• Always-available legend. A legend in the upper right corner means nobody has to memorize what a color or marker means.

Coming soon: booking bar customization, so you'll be able to choose what's displayed on each bar — channel name, guest name, or both — and configure colors for owner stays and Airbnb bookings.

2. Stay in the grid — get the full picture

In beta, 67% of respondents named faster access to reservation details as the most valuable change in the entire redesign. Here's what drives that:

• Reservation Summary side panel. Click any booking and a panel slides in from the right — without navigating away from the grid. That panel shows booking type and status, check-in and check-out with times, guest name and party size, rental agreement status, payment status and balance due, unit details including housekeeping status, and reservation notes. Everything, one click, no screen switch.
• Group booking navigation. For reservations with multiple bookings in a group, a dropdown lets your team flip between all of them without ever touching the main grid.
• Inbox messenger shortcut. Send an SMS or email to the guest directly from the side panel using your Comms Hub templates. The reservation stays visible while messaging — no tab switching, no hunting for the guest record.
• Smarter hovers. Reservation hovers now show payment status, booking source, check-in and check-out times, and amount due. Unit hovers surface beds, baths, pets policy, amenities, owner, and housekeeping status. Hold hovers show the reason.

3. Find the right unit, fast

Filters in the new grid are built from your actual portfolio — not a generic list.

• Curated amenity filter. Escapia pulls from the active amenities in your unit setup and removes anything that doesn't apply to your properties. Hot tub, fireplace, private pool — whatever your units have configured is what shows up. No setup required.
• Pets allowed. Now a built-in filter, ready to use.
• Persistent filters. Filters stay applied through your session — navigate to a reservation and come back, they're still there.
• Quick actions. Once you've found the right unit, a quick menu lets you create a hold, send a quote, or create a reservation without leaving the grid. Flows pre-populate from your existing rates and charge templates. Converting a hold to a reservation pre-fills everything — no re-entry.

When you're on a live call trying to match a guest to the right property, the difference between instant filtering and jumping in and out of unit pages manually is the difference between a smooth conversation and putting someone on hold.

4. Quote multiple properties in one workflow

Multi-property quoting is brand new to Escapia — and it changes how your team handles flexible guests.

• Select up to 5 units for the same date range directly from the grid
• Adjust pricing, fees, and add-ons individually per property
• Send the guest one email with all their options side by side
• When they decide, convert directly to a reservation — no re-entry

Multi-quoting launches from the grid but runs as its own dedicated workflow — so it feels connected without disrupting the grid itself. The grid is the entry and exit point; the quoting happens in between.
